- Joining the world’s top 10 based on the QAIST new culture strategy, established in commemoration of KAIST’s 50th anniversary, and contributing to the fourth industrial revolution

- Problem-centered convergence education across various fields of engineering and other disciplines (example: advanced manufacturing – convergence of mechanical engineering, electronics, industrial engineering, and computing)
